5 miles in 52:22

Weight 226. Ran with M. The aim was just to run easy, but it turned out to be much more than that...G-Man came over with his bike, and he kept us on some interval paces on the way back from the turnaround. We did periods of 6, 6.5, 7, 7.5, 8, and even very short spurt of 12 mph at the end! M was hanging tough all the way, and she was actually a little bit stronger than me until we got to the very end. Great workout!!!

5 miles in 46:01

Weight 228: Wow, I have really ballooned up...gotta reign myself in somehow. 5 miles in 46:01 is not a great run considering I was really trying to hit 44:00. Obviously I am waaay out of condition. I will spend the next few weeks watching what I eat and when, as well as increasing my running and other exercise

RUN ANALYSIS:
5 miles in 46:01, at 9:12 min per mile, and 5.52 mph; out back splits (23:05, 22:56); mile by mile (9:12, 9:04, 9:11, 9:43, 8:51). Mile #4 was not so good, and mile number 5 was only saved because of a strong kick at the end...

3 miles in 28:29

Weight 223.5.  I Haven’t run in over 2 weeks, and I could feel it.  I have definitely lost some conditioning. This was intended to me a moderate paced effort and it was, although it would have been nice to hit 26 as a moderate effort.  As it now stands, I think my conditioning will allow me to hit 26 at a fast effort.  The next few weeks will be spent trying to get back to the point where 26 at this distance is easy.

RUN ANALYSIS:

3 Miles in 28:29, 9:30 min per mile, 6.32 mph; out in 14:46, back in 13:43; Mile by mile (9:49, 9:43; 8:57).
