End of 2019 weight gain

Well, I lost some weight earlier in the year down to 225. but then kinda lost it after Thanksgiving and am now up to 232.  Still not 242 like last year but not where I want to be.  I think I lost my momentum when my knee got injured in a 4 mile run a few weeks back.  Maybe running is in my past...I hope not...

Almost 50 and trying to start again

As I look back at my posts, it seems I am frequently “starting over” or “getting back into it” and I fail to keep it going. I think now the focus for me should be to make lifestyle changes that are changes that can be sustained. This push and pull on and off yo yo method is not good in the long term. Pressure and cholesterol are high and this cannot continue this way. Anyway. 232 weight. Just did 3.6 miles in 37:50

Starting over (again) at 48!

A month ago, I was at 238.  Since then, I have started a little weight training and of course some running.  On April 14 I did a 5K in 34:20, a few 3 mike runs since then. 
 
This morning I did 3 miles last n 31:35, which is my best 3 miler in a couple years.

This morning I was 232.  My weight loss is not as fast as it could be, but I know it is due to poor eating and sleeping habits.  I will need to make adjustments.

Getting back into it

I have done 2 right and according to plan. If I can do 4 in a row, then it might be the start of something good. Thu 3/9 2.4 miles in 30 minutes Sun 3/12 3.33 miles in 40 minutes Plan is to do about 2 on Tuesday and 3 on Thursday coming up.

Hard to get restarted

I am having challenges getting my mind set on resuming my running. I did a painfully slow 2.66 miles last week on 03/15, but I have not anything since. I will get in the zone though...very soon

getting back into it...

This has been a rough year, but I am slowly getting back into things. Most recently I have done the following: Saturday Oct 19 5 miles in 49:41. Wednesday Oct23 5 miles in 48:03. Sunday Oct 28 5.33 miles in 53:55. The last run above was 8 laps around the neighborhood.

This is my first timed run of the season. I have just restarted my running after a long 5 month layoff. In that time i have ballooned up to 238.

This was supposed to be a slow and easy pace with a goal of 1:45. I was able to break that time although the emphasis of this run was distance vs time.

This was an okay run. I had intended to break 9:30 pace, but was secretly hoping for 1:04 or better. I did 33 out but could not improve that on the way back.

ran to Harpers. The weather was cool and felt good, but I lost a little juice on the way back so ended up walking a little. I will try again tomorrow, then rest on Tuesday.

Same route in Charlotte as Tuesday. I did it a little faster, although I stoppped to walk a few times. Not a bad run.

Ran in Charlotte. The weather felt cool at the beginning but I warmed up after a couple miles and started to feel a little overdressed.

The pace felt comfortable although the hills were challenging...bottom line, this was a good run.
