Ate a lot this weekend
Weight 221. Did 4 miles on Sat, but ate like a herd of buffalo. Gained some weight. Will try to get back on schedule...will do 5 miles this morning, not for time, but for mileage accumulation.

Ran today!
Weight 220. Finally, I did some running today...I only got 4hrs of sleep last night, but I was able to crank out a nice 3 mile run in 27:08. I did the last half mile in 4:00. It felt very good. I am thinking about using Thursday runs as my "timed trials" at this 3 mile distance. This way I can guage my overall conditioning...Last year I had gotten to the point where I was able to do it in about 25:00. My goal is to be able to run it in 22:00 by the end of August and 21:00 by mid October (2 weeks prior to the Marine Corps Marathon).

Weight 220: I haven't run in a few days...I can't seem to find the time, plus the weather hasn't been cooperating...okay, I know, I know, I need to get past the excuses and go for it. There was a time when I would go out no matter what...I remember running in the rain, while I had bronchitis...that is a little extreme, but I wonder if i can tap into that determination again?

Did not run on the weekend
Weight 221. Okay, okay, so I had all these grandiose plans to run over the weekend, but I didn't run...life happens. But, I DID mow, and as far as I am concerend that is like 6 miles of power walking...hey it takes me an hour and a half, I sweat like crazy, and my heart rate is very elevated during the whole time. So it counts for something...that is my story and I am sticking to it!! {okay, okay, I will run today}

Ran today
Weight 223. Well, I did 3 miles on Tuesday, and 3 miles on Thursday...maybeI will do another 3 on Saturday, followed by 5 on Sunday. I am still not in the condition I was in this time last year, but if I can keep running, I figure I will be back to what I was within a month. In any event, I am behind my own training plan...hopefully I will be able to catch up without hurting myself.
